Turtles

| I currently have two turtles:
one three-toed box turtle and one ornate box turtle. |

| These weren't my FIRST reptilian
pets, but they've been perennial household favorites, if for no
other reason than I've had them most of my life! |

| My turtles originally spent their
days in a 15-gallon aquarium. For most of my childhood,
though, they had the luxury of a series of outdoor pens my dad and
I built for them in which to spend summers. While I was at
college, they were relegated back to the original digs, but once I
got them back under my care, got married, and settled down, I
built them the more substantial enclosure seen on the Pets
page. I recently completed an outdoor cage for them; my
building procedures will be the subject of an upcoming series of
pages on this site. |
