I have yet to positively identify these
lizards. A type of two-lined dragon is currently my best
guess. If you can help, please email me! |

The first example of these
lizards was found at Devil's Marbles Conservation Area in the
middle of Northern Territory. It was the only lizard I saw
there (though I heard others moving in the spinifex). The
second time I encountered these lizards was at the Bowali Visitor
Centre at Kakadu National Park. The lizards there were more
accustomed to people being nearby and were easier to approach more
closely. They exhibited the "arm-waving" behavior
similar to that seen in bearded dragons (Pogona). I
have video of it and will try to post it here in the future. |
