The first picture is a still from my video camera, taken with
the Night Shot feature on. It was close to midnight and we
discovered a baby iguana sleeping in the leaves. The iguana
appears dark due to the different light-reflecting properties of
its skin in comparison to the plant (and my thumb).
|
|
The next shot is after I picked
up the iguana and brought him under a light for a better
picture. We released him in the same bush in which he was
found. |
|
The final picture is of a large
male iguana who was hanging out by the pool with the other hotel
guests. Iguanas are a popular pet; however, many people buy
them for the "cool" factor without realizing they
require specialized care. They can make good pets if you can
handle (and afford!) the responsibility. |
