I was riding my bicycle the morning of 05 July
2004 when I found this snake basking on the road. I quickly
jumped off the bike and chased the snake into the tall
grass. This picture was taken in the shorter grass in my
backyard, but it's easy to see how well the snake blends in. |
|
I've found a couple of these
snakes which had already been hit by cars. After the snake
dies, its coloration turns from green to a dusky blue color.
This snake was released after being photographed.
